Hey all!
Reading books to save water…weird, I know, but bear with me! I mentioned in my last post that I use my showers to relax. After ekeing out a tough essay today, I really needed a good, relaxing… moment to myself. Not a shower, since we’re in water-saving mode! Anyway, I put off my much-needed shower in favor of some light reading so that I could jump in the shower already relaxed and just focus on getting clean. Quickly.
My shower timed out at four and a half minutes- not bad, right? Exactly 1/2 the time of my shower yesterday! I sandwiched my shower between an interview and meeting with a friend for dinner, which was a great incentive to keep me moving quickly. There was just enough time to leisurely soak up a chapter of a book and then jump in and out of the shower.
The goody basket from The Body Shop!
A better view of the terrific Shower Gels for Earth Lovers.
I could not adore The Body Shop’s products more. So far, my favorite Shower Gel for Earth Lovers has been the apricot & basil scented one, which smells divinely light and sweet. The Rainforest set of balance shampoo and moisture conditioner smell like pineapple to me, although they actually contain pracaxi oil. I hadn’t heard of pracaxi before, but apparently it’s super hydrating. I’ve also been using the foaming facial and toner from the Nutriganics line; both products are really gentle, without much scent, and leave my skin feeling perfect. I cannot say enough good things about The Body Shop. I’m thrilled that their products don’t contain harsh detergents or parabens; everything smells natural and fresh. I’ll do a more thorough product review starting with the shampoo tomorrow!
Come back tomorrow for a review of the shampoo, tips on taking quick showers, and to hear about how else I’m saving water! Meanwhile, follow me at twitter.com/jsongnaps.
