Florence Pugh’s Met Gala Buzzcut Has Left Twitter In Shambles

Florence Pugh may have created one of the most dramatic and, dare I say, memorable looks for the 2023 Met Gala. Spoiler: She shaved her head!

When asked about her Met Gala look leading up to the event, Pugh shared a snippet of the look with the New York Times, stating, “It’s big, but we like big, don’t we? The idea is to be as bold as possible.” Pugh followed through with her plans as she was seen wearing a Maison Valentino white ballgown with a top slit that had a black bow that fell to the floor. Her outfit was highlighted by a long black feather headpiece.

Pugh’s buzzcut style was not entirely her own, as she revealed that she covered up the haircut for a few weeks prior to the Met Gala Carpet appearance. Pugh is presently filming We Live in Time, a rom-com film in which she portrays Allison, who suffers a tragic accident, and the haircut was a need for the production. She stated in the interview on the carpet that “I’m shooting a movie called We Live In Time at the moment and it was required for the job that happily wanted to do and I thought what is the better way to release it to the world then at the Met with Pierpaolo Piccioli.”

Fans have responded to the iconic look with a series of tweets. All of them? Freaking out.

Like, really freaking out.

Others aren’t really fans of the new look.

And, in true Twitter fashion, the internet is thirsty.

More to come…
