You can never go wrong with denim. Whether it be a good pair of dark-wash skinny jeans, a vintage find of authentic mom jeans, or even something a bit out of the box like a denim watch strap or bag, it’s true that denim is timeless. However, Cosmopolitan reports the brand PrettyLittleThing might have just tested whether the beloved fabric is actually perfect for all occasions with this denim… thong?
I just have so many questions:
- Is it more or less comfortable than real jeans?
- Is this the type of denim you need to take off immediately when you get home, or can you sit on the couch in it for a little while?
- Chafing. Is it still a thing?
- Is denim really the material that you want shoved up your…
- What is the appropriate reply when someone points out to you that your jeans are (a little more than) ripped? Do you laugh along to the “can you not afford to buy a new pair of jeans” jokes?
- I know that “festival style” is a thing, but haven’t we taken things a bit too far?
- I can’t be the only one who’s accidentally ripped a pair of jeans before… doesn’t this seem like a wardrobe malfunction in the making?
- What do you even wear with these?
Well, the brand at least provided an answer to my last question, encouraging buyers to pair them with other festival “staples.”
“Dare to wear these fierce denim knickers girl,” begins the website’s description of the thong. “Featuring a denim material in a seriously flattering high rise style. Team these with some killer chap trousers and matching bralette for a show-stopping festival outfit that is gonna get you noticed for all of the right reasons.”
A denim thong, matching cowhide chaps and a bralette? Versatile, perfect for any occasion and goes with everything!
All jokes aside, this outfit would certainly be a head-turner at Coachella (or anywhere, really), and is certain to give you a killer Instagram photo (that might actually give your grandmother a heart attack if she sees it). However, I wasn’t the only one with a strong opinion of this twist on a “classic pair of jeans.” Twitter was quick to give its opinion too:

Whether you love them, hate them, or just love to make fun of the weirdest things you can find on the internet, one thing is for certain: These thongs are already sold out on the website, likely already making their way into the homes of buyers who aren’t afraid to bare it all. So saddle up and get ready for all of the new crazes in festival fashion that are sure to continue to go viral before Coachella.
