The Closet Check
I have two closets. This one holds the majority of my everyday clothes, including tops and jeans. My second closet (not pictured) holds my bulkier coats, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters along with my shoe organizer. I think that separating the lightweight items from the bulkier items really helps maximize my space to buy more clothes!
Creating The Fits
Before picking an outfit, I always consider the temperature outside, the occasion I’m dressing for, and whether I’ll be walking for a long time (for shoe purposes). After deciding what to throw on, I usually will check in my full length mirror for any last-minute adjustments or an outfit change.
What I’d Wear: To An Internship Interview
If you know me, you’d know how much I love Express sweaters! I purchased this one during my time working there a few years ago, and it’s still one of my favorites. For interviews, I like to keep the colors simple, so a pair of black pants is essential. I kept my jewelry minimal, and wore a pair of black ankle boots with gold detailing. I’m not a fan of wearing heels to interviews, so a boot or a flat shoe is always my go-to.
What I’d Wear: To Class
I love putting effort into my outfits for class sometimes. For this look, I wore a green “I Like What Drake Likes” T-shirt and khaki-colored cargo skirt. Cargo skirts are one of the easiest trends to follow right now, and there are so many colors and fabrics to choose from. To keep up with the neutral tones, I wore a creme-colored crochet hat and green sneakers. This is one of my favorite looks that I wore to class!
What I’d Wear: To A Holiday Party
For my holiday party, I wore an all-green dress and duster with a matching hijab. I’m a gold jewelry girl, so I also wore some gold bracelets and matched my purse. For Eid, I love anything with super flowy fabric that’s not constricting!
What I’d Wear: On New Year’s Eve
For my New Year’s Eve look, I love a great statement shoe. Any color is perfect! For this look, I did a metallic pointed-toe heel with feather bottoms and a bodysuit underneath the blazer. I didn’t carry a purse, which was fine because I felt I kept up with the theme with my shoe selection!
