When it comes to Kate Middleton’s wardrobe, one thing is a given: it’s going to be stylish. But beyond that, pretty much anything goes! This new British princess is known for being both fashion forward and a bit daring—but not too daring—when it comes to style. From casual to formal, Kate keeps it classy and cute.
1) Kate’s Classy Collegiette
With all the recent buzz around the wedding, not to mention the fact that she just became a royal (jealous, much?!) it’s easy to forget that Kate is just like us—a young woman with a bright future and a boatload of goals. Kate hits the town in a fitted blazer and snug jeans, great for showing off the spoils of all those hours in the gym. Hmm—she looks good and she keeps it classy. Who thinks Snookie could stand to take a few hints?
2) Warm and Well-Dressed
I don’t know about you, but when it gets cold out, I tend to fall into a fashion rut. With a flared trench coat and the right accessories, however, Kate proves that cold weather doesn’t mean you have to settle for lukewarm fashion. In a look that channels Audrey Hepburn, Kate stays cute and warm. It really is the best of both worlds!
3) Weekend Wear
‘
We all get those days—you know the ones. They’re the days when you don’t feel like doing anything, you can’t be bothered to match or accessorize, and you’re ready to just relax: also known as ‘Saturdays.’ But instead of kicking back in her PJ’s, Kate goes for an equally comfy and low-maintenance, but much more fashionable, alternative: a pair of well-fitting jeans in a medium wash, a white tank, a cardigan, and her ever trademark boots. It’s an outfit even Tracy and Clinton couldn’t find an issue with.
4) Not Your Average Little Black Dress
Kate showed her daring side with this patterned dress but, unlike is all too often the case, didn’t end up looking like (a) a circus clown, (b) a throw pillow, or (c) a mess. The bow accentuates Kate’s small waist and flatters her in a dress that might otherwise overwhelm her lithe frame. Paired with simple black tights, black boots, a black blazer, and a black bag, Kate steers clear of becoming the dreaded over-patterned fashion disaster.
5) Princess for a Day
Or actually, princess for life in Kate Middleton’s case! What little girl doesn’t dream of walking down the aisle in a stunning white gown? With her relatively simple, but divinely elegant, wedding dress, Kate looked like a beautiful white dream—and Prince William definitely looked like he felt pretty lucky when he saw her!
