Put on your hottest outfit and spend more time swiping right for your one true bae, ladies, because a new bridal release has us gushing with matrimony feels for once. Glamour reports that Sarah Jessica Parker just released a bridal collection with Gilt, and it’s as classy as you dreamed it would be. Debuting her first-ever ready-to-wear clothing line is a huge step for the former Sex and the City star, but in true Carrie Bradshaw fashion, Parker released the most elegant and timeless collection that’s up to even Miss Bradshaw’s standards.
This isn’t the first time Parker has dabbled in bridal clothing, considering that she has an exclusive shoe collection with Bloomingdales. Perfect for these dresses, no? Any woman who grew up seeing their reflection in Carrie Bradshaw while watching Sex and the City deserves to walk down the aisle in Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing. It’s only right!
Dress prices range from $295 to $2,395 according to Hello! Magazine, making them perfect for anyone depending on budget range. While the dresses are timeless, they’re also up-to-date with today’s cuts, including everything from full-length gowns to two-piece sets to the untraditionally short wedding dress. They’re perfect for any woman who’s tired of seeing the same, over-the-top wedding gowns that, admittedly, can come off as a little tacky. We all know SJP wouldn’t allow that.
And because she’s a total boss, Parker knows that after spending the money on a gown for a wedding, it’d be nice to be able to wear it more than once. “The intent is [the collection] should be usable outside of that special occasion. Whether you’re the person walking down the aisle, or you’re attending, these are all pieces that should be relevant in your closet,” she tells WWD. “There are some pieces that feel more decadent and more specifically bridal. There’s no law saying they’re not appropriate for many other important occasions as well.”
Did the fashion gods answer our prayers for the perfect wedding dresses? I guess so. Now that our gowns are in order, let’s hope the rest of the day goes just as well.
