Each year brings us loads of new trends to shop, try and love. Lyst, a shopping site, recently put together a list of the most searched-for fashion trends of 2015! Using their sales data and global searches, along with social media mentions, page views, “wishlysting” and active browsing behavior, the shopping site determined 50 of the past year’s most wanted styles.
Lyst put together the adorable infographic above to illustrate their data. Some of our favorite fashion items (obviously) made the list, including the to-die-for Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots and Dior’s “So Real” sunglasses. Among their statistics, they found that the Athleisure trend was the top-selling category of the year—so we know it’s not time to put away our Nikes yet. In addition, the search rate for Kiini crochet bikinis increased by 822 percent and there were over 135,000 searches for culottes in one month. Not to mention that Chloe’s Faye bag was, on average, clicked every three minutes.
Here are Lyst’s top trending products of 2015 by month:
January: Bella Freud 1970 sweater
February: Stuart Weitzman Highland boots
March: Mansur Gavriel bucket bag
April: Aquazzura Christy lace-up flat
May: Self Portrait Azaelea dress
June: Kiini crochet bikini
July: Adidas Stan Smith sneaker
August: Chloe Faye bag
September: Tibi off-the-shoulder tunic
October: Rachel Comey Legion jean
November: Topshop Jive pump
December: Loewe Puzzle Bag
As much as we love our Nikes and Lululemon leggings, do you really think Athleisure is here to stay? It will be exciting to see what the new year brings for fashion, and whether athletic wear is replaced with a different trend or not.Â
