Ever have one of those days where you really want to show off your fit, but have no idea where to start? First things first: don’t stress. There are sooo many locations to snap an amazing shot that are available to everyone and easy to find. When it comes to showing off your stylish look it’s all about the background. Let’s be honest: it can make or break your pic. Some of my personal fave Instagram photo locations include white walls, storefronts, and sidewalks.

Plus, getting all dressed up and going on a photoshoot can easily brighten up your week. So grab some of your friends and make an afternoon of it! Here Her Campus’s InfluenceHer Collective are slaying the Insta game with these insanely cool Instagram backgrounds:

I love the bold red lip pattern on this white brick wall. It perfectly contrasts with this mostly black look and lets it stand out against a sea of images.

2. Stone

I love how this neutral background lets the outfit take center stage! No two stones are the same, just like everybody’s personal style.

3. Coffee shop

I love how cute this coffee storefront is! It perfectly compliments this trendy casual look. Plus, chances are high that you can find an amazing coffee shop near you to recreate this pic.

4. Go green

If you’ve ever walked by a giant shrub and thought to yourself, “Wow that’d be perfect for a background.” You were right! And if you haven’t now you will.

5. Industrial background

This is the perfect example of how to make a messy background look chic AF. Notice how this girly style completely contrasts the industrial background — that’s a look.

6. All white wall

A white wall is a classic background that goes with every look! It makes every photo look crisp and full of detail.

7. Look for shapes and shadows

Look for places that look different and capture your eye when walking past them. I love how this background features multiple shapes like rectangles, squares, and triangles.

8. Sidewalks

One, I’m absolutely loving this pantsuit. Two, I never knew a sidewalk could look so vogue until now.

9. High-rise buildings

If you find yourself in the middle of a city you are going to find picture-perfect spots everywhere you turn. But if you are stumped on where to start, look up to the sky and you have your answer. The high-rise buildings surrounding you create amazing backgrounds like the one in this photo.

10. Create your own

I love when I see people adding their own creative touch their photos. It gives your photo an artistic flair and makes it stand out. I love the collage design on this one! Apps like PicsArt and Snapseed are great tools to use for editing pics.
