ICYMI, GQ has announced their full support of the bootcut jean trend. However, the Goddess of Twitter Chrissy Teigen has spoken, and let’s just say if she isn’t about it, who is? Yesterday, GQ tweeted a link to one of their articles, “Bootcut Jeans Are Making A Comeback,” and Teigen was quick to completely shut that down by retweeting and adding her own comment:
not if I can help it https://t.co/U420tgeHxa

She proceeded to post zoomed in photos from that article (which, might we add, had us literally laughing out loud) to prove her point.

Thank you, Chrissy Teigen, for saying what we have all been thinking. Many stores have continuously sold bootcut style jeans for years, but saying it is becoming “trendy” is honestly just offensive to the fashion world. Making bootcut jeans a thing again would be straight up disrespectful to present-day fashion. This particular silhouette was the skinny jean of its time, but that time is over and has been for a while. Regardless if its men’s fashion or women’s fashion, bootcut jeans should not be resurrected, and with the support of Chrissy Teigen, we can put an end to this trend before its revival.Â
So, what is your view on boot-cut jeans? Do you agree with GQ or are you siding with the one and only Chrissy Teigen? We’re thinking queen Chrissy might have the right idea here.
