After hours of browsing Halloween websites and watching YouTube Halloween tutorials, I have finally decided on being a vampire for Halloween (I’m such a predictable Twilight fan.) I don’t just want to be any goofy vampire though (plastic teeth, cape, blood on face.) No. I want to be a sexy, seductive, tempting, gorgeous vampire with perfect skin, makeup, and accessories. I haven’t decided on what I’m wearing yet (I need to get on that…) but I do know what products I’m going to be using to achieve that perfect vampy look.
Face:
Use Too Faced Primed & Poreless and Amazing Face Foundation to achieve flawless, smooth skin. Make sure to get a foundation shade lighter than your skin tone. Apply your foundation twice so you look as pale as the Cullens!
Primed & Poreless ($30 at Sephora)
Amazing Face Foundation ($32 at Sephora)
Next use a translucent setting powder. I prefer Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. Apply this around your eyes with a foundation brush. This will help preserve your natural dark circles. Then apply it all over your face with a kabuki brush or puff. This will help your makeup last all night.
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent ($34 at Sephora)
Blush is up to you but I plan on using a burgundy or red colored blush. Try Revlon Powder Blush in Wine with Everything. Apply this along the hallows of your cheeks to achieve that gaunt vampire look.
Revlon Powder Blush ($9.79 at any drugstore)
Eyes:
There are so many ways to achieve a vampire look by doing a smokey, sultry eye. Here are some products to help will help you do just that!
Check out Sephora’s Beauty in a Box: Vampire. This set includes everything you need to get your eyes looking like a vampire. The set contains:
-False Lashes
– Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Rock n’ Roll Never Dies
– Retractable Waterproof Lip Liner in Red
– Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Red
– Nano Eyeliner in Midnight Black
You can get all of this for $26 at Sephora. What a steal?
If you’re looking for single eyeshadow options I’d suggest pairing a maroon and black shadow. Here are my suggestions:
MAC Sketch, Burgundy with Red Shimmer ($14.50 at Mac)
MAC Carbon, It’s the perfect black matte eyeshadow ($14.50 at MAC)
Too Faced also has some great eye products to get your eyes looking smokey. Check out Too Faced Liquif-Eye or Too Faced Metal Eyed Liner with Too Faced LashGasm Mascara. These creamy, smokin’ hot liquid liners create high intensity, and when paired with this lash intensifying mascara there will be no denying your charms.
Too Faced Liquif-Eye ($18.00 at Sephora)
Too Faced Metal Eyed Liner ($17.50 at Sephora)
Too Faced LashGasm Mascara($21 at Sephora)
For amazing, dramatic false lashes I suggest Fright Night Cosmetics lashes in Enchantress. You can find these lashes at Wal-Mart, CVS, Ulta, or any drugstore.
Lips:
Pair your pale face and smokey eyes with either a red or plum lip. Try an inexpensive lipstick and lipgloss from Revlon or L’Oreal. These can be found at any local drugstore.
Revlon Matte Lipstick in Wine Not & Really Red ($7.99)
L’Oreal Color Riche Lipcolour in Raspberries ($5.00)
