If you’ve been on TikTok recently, you’ve probably noticed fall Rush season is here — the time of the semester when thousands of college students try to get into a fraternity or sorority. And if you’ve seen Rush-themed TikToks, then chances are you’ve heard of Bama Rush. The University of Alabama has some of the most well-known Greek life in the country, and many sorority hopefuls look to them for inspiration. Potential new members (PNMs) of sororities have been sharing their OOTDs on TikTok each day of Rush, and a ton of outfits feature items from the Pants Store. But what is the Pants Store?
Sorority rush involves a ton of preparation, and one of the most important things for lots of students is what to wear for each round. Putting together the perfect outfit — not only for Rush, but for sorority activities later in the year — is very important to many members. This year, the Pants Store has caught the eye of many PNMs for Bama Rush.Â
The Pants Store was founded by Taylor Gee in 1950 in Birmingham, Alabama. The store, now an online boutique, is still run by Gee’s grandchildren and family members. Contrary to the name, the store sells all kinds of clothing items, including shoes, dresses, and activewear. What most PNMs are excited about, however, is the Bama Rush Collection available on the site.
Bella Reaves posted an OOTD on TikTok that included a pair of pink shorts and matching pink heels, both from Pants Store. “Love them,” she shared on her video, which received over 17,000 likes.Â
Here are a few of the items from the Bama Rush Collection that you can grab, too, even if you’re not a PNM at Alabama this fall.
- Hot Girl Walk Active Dress ($50)
-
This sleeveless athletic dress is perfect if you’re looking for something that’s both cute and comfortable! It comes in baby blue or pink.
- Kendra Scott Merrick Chain Necklace ($50)
-
This gorgeous necklace is available in gold or silver to match any outfit or jewelry you have planned to wear. The Pants Store also has additional necklaces and earrings available that are simple and elegant.
- Hoka Women’s Gaviota 5 ($175)
-
Shoes like this pair of Hokas are perfect for walking between sorority houses. They’re also super cute and can be paired with all of the dresses you have in your closet.
The Pants Store has become a central part of Bama Rush this year, and for good reason. If you’re looking for more Rush outfits or accessories to put your best foot forward, be sure to check them out.
