Job Opportunity: Apply to Work with the TSA

If you’re preparing to graduate in the next few weeks, chances are that you’re probably freaking out—especially if you’re one of the many seniors without a job lined up after you snag your diploma. While there are plenty of alternatives to starting your career directly after graduation, you know you’ll rest easier if you’ve got a job waiting for you. If this description applies for you, you should check out the job opportunities at the TSA!

Yes, that TSA—the Transportation Security Administration, as in the people you see working at the airport. While this organization may not have been top of mind when you began your job search, there are loads of advantages. Not only do you get the security of a government job along with competitive pay and benefits, but there are also tons of career growth opportunities. Plus, you’re helping to ensure national security! It’s a fast-paced job in a diverse workforce, and they’re looking for college graduates to fill positions in three different categories: airport security, law enforcement, and management.

Airport security positions are available in over 450 airports across the nation. You can work with travelers, behind the scenes, or with one of the TSA’s security partner’s completing an assortment of different tasks (you won’t necessarily be that girl in the uniform frisking people as they check their luggage!). The law enforcement officers are usually hidden away from the general public as they work to ensure homeland security. And those involved with the management and professional side of things will take on administrative duties to keep things running smoothly at TSA from one day to the next.

With all of the benefits that come with it, this is definitely an opportunity not to pass up! Visit the TSA website for more information, and then apply today!
