Get Ready To Unplug With The Hinge Phonebook (BTW, It’s Free)

Don’t know what to do for Global Day of Unplugging? Hinge is unveiling an exciting addition to their One More Hour program: the Hinge Phonebook! Packed with over 100 pages of creative inspiration, this pocket-sized marvel is your passport to a world of offline exploration and genuine connections.

The Unplug Collaborative is a nonprofit that organizes the Global Day Of Unplugging, an annual awareness campaign established in 2009. This year, 2024, the Global Day Of Unplugging takes place from March 1-2, sundown to sundown. This initiative is dedicated to making tech-free experiences accessible to all, championing self-care, improving mental health, and cultivating genuine face-to-face connections for every participant.

Recent surveys conducted by Hinge reveal that a staggering 75% of Gen Zers believe that spending quality time with others face-to-face diminishes feelings of loneliness. With the One More Hour program, Hinge is on a mission to shift the focus from screens to shared experiences, fostering meaningful connections among Gen Z.

To ignite a passion for in-person connections, Hinge has contributed $100,000 to the Unplug Collaborative, facilitating microgrants for Gen Zers to organize roughly 100 intimate unplugged events nationwide by the end of April 2024. Additionally, on Feb. 29, Hinge will send an in-app message to its users, urging them to savor tech-free moments in honor of the Global Day Of Unplugging.
