For my entire athletic career, I never put a ton of thought into my running shoe. Other than color and miniscule changes in the technology, there never seemed to be a large difference in between any of the running shoes I’ve ever bought, regardless of brand.
And then I was introduced to the adidas Springblade.
Esthetically, the shoe is shocking, and immediately brings to mind Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee Olympic sprinter, whose prosthetic legs literally catapulted him to fame. Intrigued by the blatant disregard for traditional running shoe design, I dug deeper to learn about the technological design behind the new Springblade.
