Lose the Freshman 15: Exercising can be fun!

The thing I love most about exercise is that it doesn’t have to be work all the time. You seriously can just have fun.

After such an intense workout the day before, I woke up this Saturday morning completely sore. But, I still wanted to do something to get my blood going. So my boyfriend and I decided to head out to the gym together and play a couple games of racquetball.

Addison is a member of the racquetball team and I took a PE class a couple of years ago so we could “bond.” It actually turned out to be a great joint interest for us. We just are so busy we don’t get out there enough and actually take time to play.

But not today. Today we were going to make time and do something more than just be lazy and sit around. Sure, our weeks were exhausting, but we could afford to spare an hour breaking some serious sweat.

Of course, I’m no where near as good as Addison. In fact, I lost every game. But there’s nothing quite like running around like crazy while swinging a racquet and dodging balls crazily bouncing off the wall. It really was a great time.

I hope you don’t view exercising as a huge chore every time. Try to find a fun spin on it that works for you. Racquetball may not be your cup of tea, but I’m sure something else can get your heart and your fancy going.  If you need a place to start, check out the workouts listed by signing up for free for the Jump Start Diet!

P.S. I’ll be posting a video about racquetball and my diet log soon! Things came up today so I had limited time… My apologies!
