The past week has been crazy for me. I had exams Wednesday, Friday, and today. Saturday exams are not okay. Because of the craziness that was my week, a few things had to be put on hold. Including, but not limited to, long exercises, the Drop10 Diet (honestly my week was shoving food down my throat quickly so I could study again), sleep (I got around 2 or 3 hours a day), any and all things pertaining to fun and having a life, and finally, my sanity. And I still haven’t managed to weigh in for Round 2 of the Lose the Freshman 15 DietBet I swear I felt like breaking down and crying way too many times. Thankfully, I was able to do quick workouts that helped keep me less crazy than I could have been. So now my next list: my top 5 workout apps.
Top 5 Workout Apps:
 Nike Training Club
I stumbled upon it a couple of months ago and have since fallen in love. The idea of the app is to make quick workouts that you can essentially do anywhere. There are four main sections. Get lean which has high interval cardio drills to help you slim down. Get toned introduces light weights and intervals to add definition. Get strong uses increased weights and reps to build strength. My favorite, get focused, has 15 minute workouts to target specific areas. Each section is broken down into beginner, intermediate, and advanced. All of the Get Lean, Get Toned, and Get Strong workouts are either 30 or 45 minutes. The app keeps track of your workouts and when you get enough minutes, you can open rewards. My favorite part of the app is the Bonus Workouts. I love to stretch so I do Shawn Johnson’s Full Stretch Guide, and Gabby Douglas’ Perfect Alignment Workout. They have other athletes like Serena Williams, Alex Morgan, Laura Enevers, and Allyson Felix.
Nike Running
If you like to do road runs, this is the app for you. The app uses GPS to figure out where you are and keeps track of your mileage, your mile pace, the elevation, and if you put in your weight, it’ll even tell you how many calories you burned. I use this one every time I run outside.
New Balance Good Form Running
This app goes hand in hand with Nike Running for me. It gives you great tips to help you become a better runner. It doesn’t keep track of you times or anything that Nike Running does, but it does keep track of how you feel afterwards. Together you can use them to figure out which runs are better for your knees or calves by knowing what your body felt like after. It also gives tips on how to improve your form which will help make running more enjoyable.
Weight Training
This app is sort of like Nike Training Club. You are able to select workouts that you’d be willing to do and what days of the week you want to do it. You can only sign up for one workout at a time and most last for a month. They send you an email on the days you choose reminding you that you have to work out so that you don’t forget. There are a lot of different celebrities or specific program type workouts that you can choose if you have a paid membership. I do not because I use it mostly to do blogilates.
Nexercise
This is actually the newest best fitness apps I have. You can log all sorts of activities that you do into the system and compete against friends to try get the most points. Just like Nike Training Club, you get medals after you  get a certain amount of points and the system saves all the exercises you’ve done in the past so you can see how you’ve been doing. They even give you the amount of time you’ve exercised and the steps you’ve walked once you’ve started a workout.
