Remember when I said I felt like my metabolism was finally revving up after eating all these red peppers, red onions and mushrooms (the fav dinner ingredients in the Jump Start Diet)? Well, I think I was right. And today’s weigh-in proved it.
For the life of me, I have no idea how I lost 7 lbs in one week. I was SHOCKED. This brings my total weight loss over the past two weeks to be 9.5 lbs. CRAZINESS.
I think amping up my cardio plus the diet plan finally waking up my sleepy, slow metabolism really started to take affect. I feel great! I know I have a long way to go (because, let’s be serious people. I need to lose more than 15 lbs to be the healthy diva I want to be), but I can already see the future.
And that future does not include any of the health problems obesity can cause. That future includes going shopping and finding my size no matter what. That future includes me walking down the aisle in a beautiful wedding dress next year and looking good sideways at the altar.
It’s a great future and one that is definitely attainable (Thank you, Jump Start Diet)! If anything, my results have now become their own motivation. Watching that number go down only makes me want to work harder.
And boy, am I working hard! I’ve been taking advantage of my parents’ at-home gym and loving every minute of it. Mom and I went shopping today to try more recipes on the diet that I haven’t made yet. Today, we made a delicious Italian halibut stew. It was so good and surprisingly filling. I’ve never thought of stew or soup to be that filling of a dinner, but this was definitely a great meal. I recommend it for anyone.
It’s those meals that are really helping me keep going. Not only are they really easy and quick to make, but they truly are delicious. My main weakness is making time for exercise. But this week, I definitely proved to myself that I can keep up regular and intense workouts.
So here’s to another week of recipes, keeping up the cardio, and dealing with daily temptations. I know I can do it! Eight more weeks to go, but I’m taking it one day at a time.
