If you’re an avid watcher of Love Is Blind like I am, you’ll know by now that each cast member of Season 3 has their own unique personality traits and quirks. For instance, Matt has *major* anger issues, Andrew is a bit theatrical (cue the fake tears), and Cole really needs to work on his hygiene habits (I mean, I’m sorry, but did you see his toilet in his apartment?!). Colleen is a ballet dancer, Nancy is into real estate, and SK is all about getting his master’s degree — and his fianceé Raven is a pilates instructor. Not only does Raven talk about fitness and being a pilates instructor at literally any possible moment she can on the show (gotta self-promote), but she even did literal jumping jacks during an intimate and romantic moment in the pods.
And if you’re like me, you’re likely wondering if Raven’s pilates workouts are available anywhere online, given how much she talks about it — and they are, bestie! And more than that, they’re actually super accessible (meaning, they’re free!).
Prior to being a reality TV contestant and Keurig hater (IYKY), Raven was low-key a pilates influencer. Going by @pilatesbodyraven on social media, Raven has a blue checkmark next to her name and has nearly 80,000 followers on Instagram. She’s a pilates master instructor at Club Pilates, as well as a barre instructor and personal trainer. On YouTube, she has over 7,000 subscribers, where she posts weekly pilates workouts — for free! Her first video — which is a five-minute, no equipment workout (my kind of workout, if you ask me) — was posted over one year ago.
“One of the primary benefits of pilates is more core strength, as well as better balance, better flexibility, and even less back pain, which is huge,” Raven said in a get-to-know-me style video. “Personally, pilates has changed my life, especially when I first started doing pilates in my professional dance career.” Raven even went on to call pilates “delicious” — OK, I’m sold.
On YouTube, Raven has posted a wide variety of pilates workout videos, from full body pilates cardio workouts to foam roller exercises designed for lower back pain (does she have one for upper back pain, though?). Her videos range from short and sweet workouts that are under 10 minutes to longer, more intense workouts that’ll totally make your face sweat and your abs burn. And if you’re new to pilates, she even has a video about the five best pilates exercises you can try every single day to get better posture and core strength. All her workouts can be done from the comfort of your own home or dorm room, and some don’t even require any equipment. That’s my kind of workout!
