Falling right before the Halloween spooky time, Scorpio season is known to bring out the bold in all of us. However, how this season does that differs from zodiac sign to zodiac sign. Her Campus talked to astrologer Linda Furiate to learn what Scorpio season is, when it starts, and how it will impact you based on your zodiac sign. Get ready for some (cosmic) chaos!
What is Scorpio season?
Move over Libra season, it’s time to embody some good ol’ water sign energy. Like every astrological period, Scorpio season comes with specific characteristics that may affect your attitudes, outlooks, and behaviors. With the sun moving into the sign of Scorpio, every zodiac sign should expect to feel the sensual and powerful energy that this water sign radiates. That is, until we move into Sagittarius season at the end of November.
WHEN DOES Scorpio SEASON START?
The sun moves into Scorpio at exactly 6:35 a.m. EST on Oct. 23. It will remain there until Nov. 21 when the sun moves into the fire sign of Sagittarius. Those with Scorpio placements may feel especially empowered during this transit, and those without Scorpio placements may start to feel more passionate and emotional energy while the sun is in this sign.

This astrological period is important for all signs—not just the Scorpios out there. Here’s how the upcoming Libra season will impact you based on your zodiac sign:
ARIES (MARCH 20-APRIL 19):
During Scorpio season, expect the unexpected, my dear Aries. The sun will be in your sixth house of health, self-improvement, and work. In regards to your life, this is the perfect time to take a step back from your life and reevaluate your partnerships and goals.
“A joint venture may collapse suddenly or need to be altered,” Furiate tells Her Campus. “It may be best to take a step back to re-evaluate your game plan.”
TAURUS (APRIL 20-MAY 20):
Your relationships are in the spotlight this season, Taurus. With the sun in your seventh house of partnerships, you should expect all of the focus to be on your connections with others — whether that’s personal or professional.
“Intense feelings may arise from how a partner has handled a financial endeavor,” says Furiate. “Money can flow easily from one hand to another.”
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20):
Scorpio season is time for you, Gemini. After all, you are Scorpio’s platonic soulmate, so this season can also benefit you in ways you never thought, particularly when that comes to self-care.
Furiate says, “This is an excellent time to schedule a wellness checkup — the energy is perfect for beginning a new healthy lifestyle and workout plan.”
CANCER (JUNE 21-JULY 22):
With the sun moving into Cancer’s month house of higher thinking and philosophy, they may feel more inclined to think deeper. And with the sensual energy of Scorpio in the air, their thoughts may trend to the romantic.
“Romance and passion fill the air — it may be time to relinquish inhibition and allow yourself to gain trust with those you love,” Furiate adds.
LEO (JULY 23-AUG. 22):
While Leo placements thrive in the spotlight, it can become a bit too much after a while. With tensions continuing to rise and repress, this lion may hit their breaking point during the Scorpio season.
“Tension or stubbornness with a family member may bring out the claws,” Furiate warns. “Be mindful of an emotional outburst that could have you feeling the sting.”
VIRGO (AUG. 23-SEPT. 22):
Prepare to put those past connections to work, Virgo. With the Scorpio sun in your 11th house of friendships and wishes, an opportunity may be knocking on your door — with a familiar face to boot.
According to Furiate, “a new opportunity may present itself through a former classmate or sibling, so be willing to give it your best effort as a potential financial outcome could prove beneficial.”
LIBRA (SEPT. 23-OCT. 22):
Fresh off of your birthday season, Libra should continue to feel on top of the world during the Scorpio transit.
“A new door may open to provide a creative way to earn extra cash,” Furiate says. “Take the time to polish an existing talent that could allow you to reach a long-awaited financial goal.”
SCORPIO (OCT. 23-NOV. 21):
Happy birthday, Scorpios! With the sun in your first house of self, the sun is shining on you this season. Expect to feel more confident and self-assured than ever!
“Your passion for life could hit an all-time high for the year,” Furiate tells Scorpios. “You may feel more determined and motivated to accomplish a desire that truly speaks from your heart and soul.”
SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 22-DEC. 21):
This season is all about ramping up to your birthday transit, Sagittarius. The sun will be in your second house of values, so you may feel like taking stock of your personal beliefs and what self-care means to you.
“Your nature this month may be to take a step back to gain insight into all that you are grateful for,” Furaite says. “You may feel inclined to explore the peace and tranquility of the countryside or take a quiet walk along the beach.”
CAPRICORN (DEC. 22-JAN. 19):
Communication is key during this transit, Capricorns! The Scorpio sun is moving into your third house of thinking and communication (which is ruled by Mercury — the planet of technology, FYI), so technology may play a huge role in your attitudes for the season.
“A tech project may finally get funded to offer you a well-deserved career break, so seek out a like-minded colleague for their practical insight to help guide your success,” Furiate says.
AQUARIUS (JAN. 20-FEB. 18):
The free-thinking Aquarius should expect to feel even more independent during this Scorpio season. Yes, I said it — it’s possible.
“Your independent and scientific nature may lead you toward the investigation and research of an innovative project that will be sure to impress those of influence,” Furaite says.
PISCES (FEB. 19-MARCH 20):
The sun is in your fifth house of creativity, Pisces. Meaning: this is your time to get even more creative, and see where that energy ends up leading you.
“An opportunity to teach or travel abroad may help to broaden the scope of your work,” Furaite says. “Your desire may be to take on more than you can handle. Trust your gut to know what is best for you.”
