Tinder Is Giving Users the Opportunity to Travel the World–Through the App, Of Course

I sympathize with all of you homebodies right now, because social distancing can get really lonely at times – especially if you’ve been separated from friends or family. And while you’re still not allowed to leave the house, Tinder has come up with the perfect way to keep you connected with others on a much bigger scale.

Starting this week, Tinder’s Passport feature is available for free to all members through April 30. Passport allows you to connect with anyone, anywhere in the world, no matter where you’re currently located. You can check in on people in your hometown, college town or sister city, and find people in different regions across the world who are experiencing the same things as you are.

For college students with classes that have moved online, try Tinder U. It’s a feature on Tinder where college students can “enroll” using their school email addresses in order to match with students on their own campus, as well as campuses nearby. Due to remote learning, Tinder U removed its distance radius and now allows you to connect with other students no matter where you are. Don’t lose hope on that cutie in your math class!

Find someone you can talk to while you’re social distancing—you might even set up a promising date to look forward to.
